TALL TALL TREES
The self-titled debut album from Tall Tall Trees is definitely a unique listening experience for fans of honest songs, and off-beat storytelling. Riddled with banjos, surf harmonies, fuzz pedals, and clanking toy box percussion, the album captures the adventurous spirit of Mike Savino's songwriting and the fruits of his longtime collaboration with guitarist Kyle Sanna and drummer/percussionist, Mathias Kunzli.
Recorded in home studios between January and December 2008 and released June 2009 via the band's own start-up Good Neighbor Records, the album has garnered attention for its bold blend of bluegrass, afro-beat and indie rock.
The band has since added bassist Benjamin Campbell to the line-up and has been busy playing lots of shows and working up new material for their follow up album. The second album from Tall Tall Trees has been entirely fan funded and is slated for release Summer 2011.
